Editorial board

The editorial board of the JFT journal is composed of the Associate Editors Committee and the Technical Committee:

  • The Associate Editors are the representatives of the French-speaking tribology community for the journal. They manage manuscripts submitted by authors through to publication:

    • Guillaume Colas: CNRS – FEMTO-ST Institute, Marie and Louis Pasteur University
multiscale and multi-environment tribology, dry lubrication, tribo-/mechano-chemistry, micromechanics, space tribology
    • Sylvie Descartes: LaMCoS, INSA Lyon [Coordinator of the AFM Tribology GST]
dry friction, solid lubrication, microstructure–tribological property relationships, large deformations
    • Julian Le Rouzic: Institut PPrime, University of Poitiers
gas lubrication, dynamic instabilities, aerostatic and aerodynamic bearings, dynamic sealing
    • Vincent Magnier: LaMcube, University of Lille – Polytech Lille
multiscale and multiphysics modelling, computational tribology, constitutive laws of complex materials
    • Clotilde Minfray: LTDS, Centrale Lyon
surfaces & interfaces, tribochimistry, mecanochimistry, lboundary lubrication, additives, surface analyses

  • The Technical Committee is responsible for the operation of the journal and for promoting best practices in scientific publishing. It also handles any technical questions related to the publication process. The Technical Committee includes:

    • Jean Bouyer: Institut PPrime, University of Poitiers
hydrodynamic lubrication, bearings and thrust bearings, surface texturing, rheology
    • Yannick Desplanques: LaMcube, University of Lille – Polytech Lille [Publishing Director]
materials mechanics, tribological systems, wear mechanisms and processes, mass and energy Balances.
    • Lucas Frérot: Institut d’Alembert, Sorbonne University
contact mechanics of rough surfaces, multiscale friction modelling, molecular dynamics
    • Marina Pécora: Institut Charles Sadron, University of Strasbourg
contact mechanics of polymers, scratch, indentation, in-situ vision
    • Malik Yahiaoui: LGP, Tarbes Pyrénées Occitanie University of Technology [Editor-in-Chief]
transient EHL lubrication, in situ & in operando tribology, acoustic emission

Regarding the proceedings of the International French-speaking Tribology Days (JIFT), this editorial board is complemented by the JIFT Conference Organizing Committee and the JIFT Scientific Committee. The Organizing Committee is linked to the host university of the JIFT conference and is therefore renewed each year.
